Kym Nicolas has been a professional artist for over half her life. Her work has been shown in galleries, magazines and numerous retail locations throughout the United States. Nicolas' work is strongly influenced by nature and spirituality. She works in an array of medias and through experimentation and hard work, has become proficient in all of them. Every piece is an authentic design, whether it is a sculpture made of money plant, a stone & cement bird bath, a lamp made entirely of lily stems, a mohair sweater, a cathedral-glass human sculpture, or a fountain made of clay. "I want my work to appeal to your senses. I want a person to feel the uncontrollable urge to touch or feel - to hold it close to one's self. I want you to take a second look, to drink it in and quench a visual thirst. I want it to stimulate that place deep inside that connects us to and honors Nature. Earth, water, air, and fire...the rotation of seasons, the rotation of time.
